Gusenbury Fields is a small, family-owned lavender farm in Whitsett, NC – the first ever in Guilford County, NC.  This farm was started in 2019 by Chris and Angie Newsom.  We plowed the ground, built mounds, and planted each lavender plant with our own hands.  We continue to build this farm, and tend the fields daily with our own toil.  This farm is a labor of love.     

We are passionate about small, local business, and locally sourced products.  We believe that healthy living begins at a local level – local produce, natural and organic farming, homemade products.  These are the things which built and sustained societies for thousands of years, and are the cornerstones of strong, local communities. 

Gusenbury Fields is and will always be a local, small, family-owned farm committed to growing and selling locally, and supporting natural and organic farming practices.
